In addition to comprehensive hospital, medical and prescription drug coverage, a BayCarePlus Premier (HMO) plan also includes many valuable extras not offered by Original Medicare or Medicare supplements at no additional cost to you – just another way of helping you stay healthy while saving you money.
The cost for eyeglasses, contacts and eye exams can really add up. To help you manage those costs, we include additional coverage for these items. This is important coverage not offered by Original Medicare or Medicare supplements. BayCarePlus members can access the EyeMed network for their optometry and eyewear needs.
Because dental care is important to your overall health, we offer preventive dental in all our plans. You have the option to add comprehensive dental coverage for an additional monthly premium. We are proud announce our partnership with Delta Dental, starting in 2023. Members will benefit from Delta Dental’s large network of dentists, including more private dentists to choose from.
If an illness or injury should arise while you’re away from home, we have you covered. The BayCarePlus Premier plan offers you the coverage you need by providing nationwide urgent and emergent care coverage as well as worldwide emergency care coverage. Our goal is to get you the care you need when and where you need it.
We believe staying active can help you live your life to the fullest. That’s why we have partnered with Silver&Fit® to give you free access to participating fitness centers near you. Members can also select a free home fitness kit each year and access health coaching and online fitness classes–everything you need to stay active and healthy!
If you have to go to the hospital, our priority is to help you get better. One component of that is making sure you have the most basic necessity—food. Members who choose the BayCarePlus Premier (HMO) plan who meet certain criteria will receive several healthy meals each day for a certain number of days after being discharged from the hospital.
Technology has changed the way we do everything, including how we see our doctors. If you’re feeling too sick to leave home or just want to practice social distancing, BayCareAnywhere® allows you to video chat with a board-certified doctor anytime, day or night from a computer, tablet or smart phone—even on holidays. You can also access BayCareAnywhere® at select Publix stores near the pharmacy.
Regular visits to the doctor are extremely important to maintaining your health, so we never want transportation issues to prevent you from seeing your doctor. A BayCarePlus Complete plan includes transportation assistance to doctors and authorized medical facilities at no additional cost to you. Travel is provided by WTS, a locally owned and operating medical transportation expert.
We know that over-the-counter (OTC) items can play an important role in helping you get and stay healthy. The BayCarePlus Complete (HMO) and Premier (HMO) plans include coverage on OTC products such as non-prescription drugs and health-related items at no additional cost to you. OTC items include antihistamines, antacids, first aid and medical supplies, vitamins and minerals and many more.
As we age, we may develop hearing‑related needs, but we don’t want you to miss any of life’s special moments. In partnership with TruHearing®, one of the nation’s largest hearing benefit providers, we offer affordable hearing aid coverage options for you to choose from.
